PS2 Dragon Quest Journey of the cursed king - I can't find Pickham?

Right when you go out of the litle inn, look to your left and head that way. while walking, to your right there should be a little road leading to an entrance. thats pickham i believe, cant say for sure, haven't played it in two years. google it if im wrong.
