I need a story for an opera!?

I'm a high school sopre, and my college music cl, we have to preform an opera. My group consists of 3 members, I need a popular story with 3 main characters. We're not doing Alvin and the chipmunks, the powerpuff girls, dream girls. Any other ideas?
