Help,Does Anybody Know Of Any Good Apartments In The Hollywood Area?

I live in Trenton,New Jersey,Im going to school in september for music in hollywood,CA,I've been looking online for a 1 bedroom apartment for under $2000,i've looked in these areas,Hollywood,Santa Monica,Playa Del Rey,Marina Del Rey,The problem is i've seen mostly pretty bad reviews,I don't know if these particular people are the kind that are never satisfied or these peticular apartments are really that bad,i was born in the bronx,new york and raised in trenton,new jersey so for me it doesn't have to be perfect,Any insight whould be helpful....
