Enthalpy of hydration and lattice are affected by ion size and charge? (hmm)?

Electrostatic attractions of ions for other ions (lattice) or water (hydration) depend on the intensity of the charge and the distance between interacting centers. Ions with +3 charges are more intensely charged than +1 ions. Smaller ions have charge more concentrated than larger ones. And other ions and water can get closer to smaller ions than to larger ions.
