Camera or Phone?! Help!?

So I have the option of have a phone or a digital SLR camera. The phone is a Metro PSC phone, which means it's not that good but it'll have to do. I miss having a phone, I haven't had one in months but I'm really into photography and I want a camera. If I don't get the camera, I'll have to wait till Christmas or maybe longer. So what should I do. SLR Camera or Cell Phone?
