Yes, if you have it once a month, it's probably a sign of ovulation coming soon, especially being dry right after. Temperature charting would also help you be more sure. Spotting sometimes happens after ovulation, but there are a lot of other possible reasons too, most dealing with hormones. I've been doing that this month, but at random times, not just before ovulating- I have no idea what's causing it.
