I have a compaq laptop running windows vista and i cant find my usb drives and it wont sync any devices?

I just bought a LG Triton today and i trying to send ringtones via usb cable to the phone and its not giving me the option to sync. ive also never been able to find my usb drive so i can just drag and drop items into the folder. ive checked around and gotten no help in finding my usb drives or why it wont sync devices. any help would be much appreciated thanks
