Characteristics and traits of envious friends?

I have a friend who makes fun of my family and discreetly tries to imply jokes toward me. . . I'm trying to figure out, in this stage of the friendship, if this is just simple silliness or ignorance. We are way too old to be making the jokes she makes. She does other irritating things too, that make me question our friendship. Can someone list traits or characteristics of envious friends. . .
